“Get On Board With the Library,” a campaign supporting holiday donations, is being spearheaded by Tim Summers, former Representative from the Arkansas Legislature. The Bentonville Library Foundation is sponsoring the campaign to support our local library. Development Director Brenda Compton and Mr. Summers are leading the Bentonville Library Foundation’s efforts to secure funding for digital resources, large print materials and children’s books.
"This library has been one of my weekly stops for years", stated Tim Summers, former House of Representative. "I have read at least one book a week for at least the last 20 years and the library has great choices of books that I enjoy." As he offered his contribution to the campaign, Summers urged others to help the library stock its shelves with new materials for its growing patronage. Senator Hester agreed stating "that the library has been a favorite place for my growing family and I will do what I can to get the word out to support the need for growing its collections at the Bentonville Public Library.”
Mr. Summers was excited to share that $5000 was already contributed from an anonymous donor towards the Al Flynt Large Print Collection for the Attending the announcement, Rustin Chrisco, Foundation Board of Directors member, agreed the library is a huge contributor to the community's worth. He hopes to gather added support for this season's campaign.
